Geodetic surveying is the accurate survey of coordinate (xyz) data using Global Positioning Systems (GPS) with the aid of land based GPS survey receivers. xyz positions are surveyed in local grid coordinates (i.e. Irish Grid) for a large range of applications including:

 

  • engineering and construction site setting out and survey

  • generation of benchmark control - horizontal and vertical project control networks

  • ground control for aerial mapping

  • utility mapping and survey
